After three years of playing together, Miles Davis’ “second great quintet” had evolved into a tight, athletic and adventurous crew. When the band toured Europe in 1967, it made some music for the ages — and luckily, much of that trip was recorded. It will be released by Sony Legacy on Sept. 13 as ‘Live In Europe 1967: Bootleg Series Vol. 1.’
